At the core of my practice is the act of taking existing materials, whether physical, sonic or archival, and recontextualising them to tell new stories. I’m drawn to objects, sounds and references that already carry meaning, using them as a base to explore identity, culture, heritage and social issues in a way that feels both personal and collective.
My work is inspired by everyday life. From music to fashion, from my culture to my faith, these are the things that shape how I see the world and how I respond to it through my art. They’re not just influences, they are living elements within the work.
I move across installation, sculpture, painting, multimedia and sound, often blending them to create layered and immersive experiences. Whether I’m working with found materials, archive footage or sampled audio, I’m interested in shifting meaning. I want to see how something familiar can be flipped to speak to something urgent and new.
My practice is about reclaiming space, reframing narratives and creating room for alternative ways of seeing and understanding the world around us.
